Once lost to time, the Great Yorkshire Circus has been brought back to life through a tale as magical as the show itself.
It all began on a rainy afternoon in Skipton, when local theatre owner, Jamie Hudson stumbled into a secondhand bookshop, looking for nothing in particular. Inside the pages of a forgotten travel journal, he discovered a curious clue—a pressed ticket and a rusted key. That key led him to an overgrown path, a creaking barn door, and within it… a treasure trove of circus past: costumes, posters, props, and the faint echo of laughter beneath the dust.
Now lovingly revived, the Great Yorkshire Circus invites you to escape the everyday and step into a world of wonder. With breathtaking acrobatics, hilarious clowns, dazzling costumes, and live music, our two-hour show is a joyful celebration for all ages.
